Terms of Service
Effective May 30, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Verid website, dashboard, API, SDK, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
The Service is operated by Verid (“Verid”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
- You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your credentials and API keys secure, and for all activity under your account.
- Notify us promptly at support@verid.dev if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
2. The Service
Verid lets you monitor web pages and API endpoints for changes, extract structured data, and receive notifications when defined conditions are met. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We aim for high availability but the Service is provided on an “as available” basis and may be subject to maintenance, downtime, and limits.
3. Acceptable use
You agree that you will not, and will not enable others to:
- Use the Service to monitor or extract data from any site or endpoint where you do not have the legal right to do so, or in violation of that site’s terms of service, robots directives, rate limits, or applicable law.
- Collect, store, or process personal data of others through the Service without a valid legal basis and any required notices or consents.
- Use the Service to infringe intellectual property, misappropriate trade secrets, or breach confidentiality or contractual obligations.
- Overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, third-party systems, or other users’ data.
- Use the Service for spam, harassment, surveillance of individuals, or any unlawful, harmful, or deceptive purpose.
- Resell, sublicense, or expose raw Service capacity to third parties except as expressly permitted.
- Circumvent usage limits, security controls, or authentication.
You are solely responsible for the targets you choose to monitor and for your compliance with all laws and third-party terms that apply to that activity. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe violate this section.
4. Your content & data
You retain all rights to the configurations, destinations, and data you submit or that we fetch on your behalf (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service and as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have all rights necessary to provide Your Content and to have us process it.
5. Plans, billing & payments
- The Service is offered through a permanent Free plan and paid subscription plans. Plan limits and prices are described on our pricing page and may change with notice.
- Paid subscriptions are sold and processed by Creem.io, our Merchant of Record. Creem is the seller of record for your purchase, processes your payment, and issues invoices and tax receipts. Your purchase is also subject to Creem’s terms.
- Paid plans renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing section of your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and your plan continues until then.
- Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. Taxes are handled by our Merchant of Record where applicable.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, documentation, and trademarks, is owned by Verid and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service. Our published SDK is licensed separately under its stated open-source license. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the Service except as permitted by law or an applicable license.
7. Third-party services & targets
The Service interacts with third-party websites, APIs, and integrations (e.g. the targets you monitor and the destinations you deliver to, such as Slack, Discord, and your own webhook endpoints). We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content, availability, terms, or actions. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT IT WILL DETECT EVERY CHANGE OR DELIVER EVERY NOTIFICATION.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERID WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Verid from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, the targets you monitor, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
11. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or fail to pay fees, and we may discontinue the Service with reasonable notice. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we may delete Your Content in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to legal retention requirements.
12. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Verid is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
14. Miscellaneous
- If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
- Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific terms, are the entire agreement between you and Verid regarding the Service.
15. Publicity & promotion
You agree that, while you use the Service and afterwards, Verid may identify you (or the company on whose behalf you use the Service) as a Verid customer and may use your name, logo, and a general description of your use of the Service on our website and in other promotional materials to promote the Service. We will use your brand assets in line with any reasonable trademark guidelines you provide, and will not disclose your confidential information or the specific configurations or data you monitor. If you would prefer that we not reference you in this way, email us at support@verid.dev and we will stop using your name and logo for new promotional materials.
